Halogenated Solvents Recovery
Halogenated solvents are typically disposed of via high temperature incineration, however Novum have access to recovery outlets to allow for the reuse of these materials.
Our offtake partners can recover halogenated solvents, including dichloromethane, chloroform, and trichloroethylene, to achieve a ‘virgin-like’ quality. Typical wastes may include:
- Chlorinated solvents, commonly used in pharmaceutical, agrochemical, and speciality chemical industries
- Adhesives and coatings
- Paint strippers
- Laboratory waste
- Manufacturing of packaging
How is it recycled?
Halogenated solvents are recycled and recovered via our trusted offtake partners in Europe where the pure solvents are separated from contaminants based on boiling point differences. This means the solvents achieve a ‘virgin-like’ quality, allowing for industrial reuse.
